So I can’t decide if I feel bad for Tony Romo or not. I mean the poor guy is the “toast of the town” in Dallas and then two seconds later he’s “Buckner”.
On the other hand he’s rich, still going to the pro bowl and unless he had a really bad night he’s still dating Carrie Underwood (if you believe that).
So, I guess one shouldn’t feel all that bad for him, but it will be interesting to see how he responds next year. Will it be a mere blip in what could be a long, successful NFL career or a defining moment in what could only be called the fastest rags to riches and back to rags story in sports history? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, but for now “America’s Quarterback” is going to have to deal with a long off-season filled with questions that loop him in with names like Buckner, Lett and Bartman.
