Second Life Fights War on “Virtual” Terror?
February 24th, 2007 by Bryan Hauer
I just saw an article on Yahoo.com that was titled Virtual terror strikes Second Life.
Can anyone tell me WTF this means? I’ll admit I’m not a gamer (besides Madden) on XBox, so forgive me for being an idiot when it comes to games like Second Life.
I’d really just like to know what the hell the article says? What I mean is… From what I gathered it’s a virtual role playing game and a bunch of people are joining together and created a group called Second Life Liberation Army to fight the creator of the game. Basically demanding certain things or face future “virtual terrorism”? Am I right on this?
I just actually think it’s funny that I read a news article on a mainstream website and couldn’t really understand it. I’m now trying to figure out is it just because I’m getting older or because I’m simply not involved in the gaming world?
Nonetheless, if anyone who knows what the hell this story is about, please comment below and explain it to me. I’m sure some Second Life fanboys will probably think I’m crazy for not knowing anything about this, but I’d appreciate any explanation.
