I’ve recently been playing Sit and Go online poker quite a bit since I’ve found it to be the most lucrative and also the best option to easily manage your poker bankroll.

Sit and Go poker tournaments allow poker players to play in smaller tournament fields by buying in for a set amount and then playing until there is one winner. Typically tournament fields are only one table and usually pay the top three places with the winner generally getting around 50% of the total tourament money.

The advantages of playing smaller fields like sit and go’s is that like a larger tournament you are only buying in for a set amount which you can’t lose any more beyond your initial buy in. Also, it’s much easier to manage your poker bankroll playing sit and go’s compared to cash games since they are smaller, quicker tournaments and again you can’t lose more than your initial investment.

Another advantage is the fact that most sit and go poker tournaments only have around 10 people and typically pay out the top three, so if you play multiple sit and go tournaments at once or throughout the day your goal should simply be to finish in the money which would be the top three places to ensure you at least make back your initial investment.

The goal here is to place in the top three in as many tournaments as possible throughout your session to ensure a greater return on your investment. Obviously the better player you are and the more sit and go poker tournaments you play in, the better chance you have for a greater ROI.
