Paris Hilton Sentenced to Jail
May 4th, 2007 by Bryan Hauer
Paris Hilton was just sentened to 45 days in jail by a Los Angeles judge for violating her probation.
Hilton, who’s become famous for simply being a party girl couldn’t use her fame or money to get out of this trouble.
Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer ruled that she was in violation of the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. “I’m very sorry and from now on I’m going to pay complete attention to everything. I’m sorry and I did not do it on purpose at all,” she told the judge before announced the sentence.
She was then ordered to report to women’s jail in suburban Lynwood on June 5, 2007 to begin serving her 45 day sentence.
Hilton who recently has been pulled over three separate times said she didn’t know her license was suspended, even though she just recently signed a document from the police department stating she did understand her license was suspended. The document was found by police in her glove compartment.
While she obviously knew what she was doing… I do however feel a little bad for her. I can’t imagine jail will be anything like she’s ever seen. It just goes to show that celebs don’t always get away with everything and in some cases the legal system can even be too harsh just to set an example of a high profile person.
