As being reported by Peter Abraham and other various New York sports writers at around 10pm ET Monday night…
Former NY Yankees skipper Joe Torre and Don Mattingly will officially join the LA Dodgers on Tuesday. Grady Little will obviously be fired tomorrow before the official announcement.
This announcement comes after just one week since Joe Torre declined a one year deal with the Yankees.
It also comes on the heels of Alex Rodriguez announcing he will opt out of his contract with the Yankees and test the free agent market.
Hopefully this has nothing to do with money and is more about simply wanting to play on another team.
More to come on this developing story by tomorrow.
So what do you think? Is this a good move for the Dodgers and also for the Yankees? How about ARod opting out? Looks like the Yanks will have a whole new look next year.
My name is Bryan Hauer and I was born on January 11, 1976 in St. Paul, MN. Although my friends liked to kid me about it I am no relation as far as I know to the actor Rutger Hauer.
I grew up mostly in Minnesota and Wisconsin as I attended grade school in St. Paul, MN and junior high and high school in Racine, WI. After graduating high school I then went on to attend college in LaCrosse, WI.
Although I was born in Minnesota and lived there and Wisconsin most of my younger years, I've also lived in quite a few other states.
