Extreme Weather Meteorologist Reed Timmer, IMAX and 3D filmmaker Sean Casey and Sever Weather Engineer Tim Samaras who make up the Storm Chasers primetime show were sadly canceled from this Falls Discovery Channel lineup.

Although no confirmation directly from Discovery, Tim Samaras all but confirmed it on his Facebook page this week. Tim finished his post with..

One will never know where myself, Reed and Sean will appear once again. I will say that it was an absolute pleasure to be featured in the show along with such great talent.

Reed had been quiet until he also updated his Facebook page with the following today…

Just wait until you see the rebranded and revamped web presence we have planned for 2012. Won’t need television once this deploys.. 6 year master plan is finally going to start coming to fruition by March. DOMINATE the storm.

He also Tweeted…

Just don’t worry we’ll be back in some capacity I’m sure. Maybe just online webisodes.

While Reed seems to still be a little unsure about the fate of the series, even the shows Wikipedia page has been updated to reflect the cancellation saying it occurred on January 21, 2012.

According to multiple blogs, the show seemed to suffer from a couple production choices like moving the show from Wednesday’s to Sunday’s which put it up against Sunday Night Football on NBC. With the vast majority of the show being viewed by younger men… that’s a tough matchup to win. According to some data the show also suffered from being a niche show… while the show had huge ratings within the middle of the country, it had much less traction on the East and West coasts which obviously has the nation’s highest populations.

On a personal note… I’m hoping Discovery changes their mind or the reports are completely false. Sadly that probably isn’t the case. I’m really going to miss the show. It was one of the few shows I made sure to DVR every week and got pumped about each Fall. Reed alluded to a new web show and revamp of his TVN website which is great to hear as the website definitely needs an updated look. One problem though with a web version is the production value will probably go way down as they won’t have the money to produce a high quality version which includes the emotional factor that was a huge part of the current show and focused on relationships between team members.

If they do go that route I’d love to see a revamped website which includes easy to find videos, updated chasing info and tracking, integrated streams of their social media accounts, a great blog/commenting system and the ability to watch old episodes of the show. Hey Reed – If you need help doing this, let me know. I also have a site I planned to develop that would incorporate all of this, but now that this news is out, I’ll take a wait and see approach to see what the guys come up with.

Hopefully another network will pick up this great show with a huge dedicated following, but until that happens make sure to check out their websites and follow along with them on their Facebook and Twitter accounts.

So a few days ago my buddy in LA called me to tell me the great news he was getting married this Winter in Hawaii and wanted some suggestions on funny, but memorable things he and his soon to be bride could do for the wedding. That got me thinking and also searching Google/YouTube for fun ideas.

After clicking around on YouTube for a while the one video that kept popping up over and over was JK Wedding Dance. Now I’m sure most if not all of you have already seen the video. If not, you must live under a rock since it’s been viewed over 64 million times just on YouTube alone. It’s the video of Kevin and Jill Heinz St. Paul, MN wedding where they entered the wedding to Chris Brown’s Forever. They’ve appeared on The Today Show and many other media outlets since. The video simply makes you smile.

Now my buddy doesn’t necessarily care about being the next YouTube sensation, but after watching that video again I started clicking around on other top YouTube wedding videos and decided after wasting about 30 minutes of my life that I’d put my top 5 into a quick blog post in case others hadn’t already seen all of them. Some are wedding entrances and most are reception first dances. Oh and I’ve also added one extra at the bottom for best marriage proposal.

Which one is your favorite? I’m sure I missed some great ones so link to other great wedding videos in the comments section below.

So this morning I realized reading Damn You Auto Correct in a coffee shop is a bad idea. People tend to stare at those who can’t stop laughing while by themselves in public places. I’m sure a few people thought I was crazy. That’s ok. This site literally makes my day.

If you haven’t heard of it before it’s a site where people submit their iPhone auto correct failures. The iPhone comes with an auto correct feature that works with all apps, but is most used during texting. According to Apple the auto correct feature not only comes with millions of pre loaded words, but also is supposed to learn from you as you type more. Say for instance you use a certain slang word over and over. The iPhone is then supposed to learn that word and in the future not try and correct you which in the long run saves you time.

Unfortunately as some have found out… it’s not perfect and can easily change a word which can make for some funny and of course awkward responses from friends, coworkers and family which leads to many cursing their iPhone and wondering why words like “shit” are replaced with “shatner” or “drive” comes up as “badonkadonk” or “Mondays” comes up as “manboobs”. One thing is for sure… the iPhone has a potty mouth.

Check out 10 12 of the funnier ones I found. I literally searched for 10 minutes so definitely check out the site for more hysterical text message fails. Just make sure you’re not in public;)

What’s the funniest one you’ve seen? Link to it in the comments below.

No one really knows, but here’s a hilarious story from one dogs point of view on being dressed up.

Here’s a video review of Pure Nightclub Las Vegas which is located inside Caesar’s Palace Hotel and Casino.

I’ve been to Pure quite a few times as I live just across from Caesars and Bellagio and let me first say this place gets really busy and the lines are insane so if you can get bottle service and still get there fairly early. I’ve literally went into the club around 11pm and when I left at around 3am I noticed some of the same people I saw in line earlier. So again… get bottle service and show up fairly early.

Another little tip is you’ll see people around town or even Caesars handing out little VIP Free Entry cards for Pure. These are completely worthless and only used to get you in line, wait for 2 hours and then be told those won’t work that night. Of course since you just waited in line forever you end up paying the $30 cover anyways.

The club is fairly big and also has a separate bar for The Pussy Cat Dolls. My favorite part of Pure has to be the outdoor patio upstairs which is really big and quite fun.

As for drink costs… expect to pay around $10 – $15 a drink.

Pure also has many celebrity parties so don’t be surprised to see anyone from Paris Hilton to Britney Spears to Diddy if you’re there.

For table reservations or more information visit their official site at PureTheNightClub.com.

Paris Hilton was just sentened to 45 days in jail by a Los Angeles judge for violating her probation.

Hilton, who’s become famous for simply being a party girl couldn’t use her fame or money to get out of this trouble.

Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer ruled that she was in violation of the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. “I’m very sorry and from now on I’m going to pay complete attention to everything. I’m sorry and I did not do it on purpose at all,” she told the judge before announced the sentence.

She was then ordered to report to women’s jail in suburban Lynwood on June 5, 2007 to begin serving her 45 day sentence.

Hilton who recently has been pulled over three separate times said she didn’t know her license was suspended, even though she just recently signed a document from the police department stating she did understand her license was suspended. The document was found by police in her glove compartment.

While she obviously knew what she was doing… I do however feel a little bad for her. I can’t imagine jail will be anything like she’s ever seen. It just goes to show that celebs don’t always get away with everything and in some cases the legal system can even be too harsh just to set an example of a high profile person.

Gates vs. Jobs Cartoon – This is probably one of the most clever and well done videos I’ve seen on GooTube yet. Plus, it was originally done. It’s a must see!

I don’t know when I became a computer nerd and starting thinking things like this are hilarious, but I guess it was about 5 years ago when I left the fitness industry and out of necessity had to find a new way, a smarter way of making money and the internet was my best option.

While I spent most of the last few years involved in the online poker industry I realized that if I could dominate or at least do well there, I could do well in any industry online. I also became fascinated with the technology industry and not only new innovations, but the history of the tech industry as a whole which is probably why I write so much about it here.

I’ve especially liked researching the relationship over the years between not only Apple and Microsoft, but also the on and off relationship between Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.

I’ve written a number of articles on it and one in particular was quite fascinating. It was a post titled The Rise of Silicon Valley which shows a video documentary of the start of the computer industry and details specifically Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. It’s a must see if you haven’t already checked it out.

This cartoon really says it all about Bill and Steve’s relationship. Plus, it’s funny as hell!

Enjoy!

So why is this so important you might ask? Well, Google Video and YouTube have always maintained the stance that they are protected from being sued for copyright infringement based on Safe Harbors and the fact that they don’t have anything to do with uploaded content and that they do not alter, edit or review content unless they receive a DMCA take down notice from a verified content owner. Well, they lied!

Let me start out by saying that I love using Google Video and YouTube, but like anyone who uses either one there are tons of copyrighted uploads everywhere on each site. Everything from news broadcasts to music videos to TV shows to full length featured films.

While I like the idea of watching free videos of all the types of media I just mentioned, I do however agree with the networks, movie studios, music industry and more that this blatant form of stolen content is wrong. I also agree that Google and YouTube have basically turned a blind eye to it and have also tried to strong-arm the large media companies into doing business with them.

I know this is a touchy subject considering a lot of people think those companies already make enough money and that they should just shut up and take the free advertisements for their shows etc…, but that’s really not the point. Who am I or anyone else to tell someone or a corporation that they already have enough money so they lose all rights to their products? That’s just not the way the world works, nor should it be.

I for one hate when articles of mine are scraped or stolen and posted on other sites and would be extremely upset if I spent my hard earned money making a record or movie and then someone just posts it for free online for everyone to watch for free. What makes that any different than the guys in NYC who go to movies and film them with a camcorder and then sell bootleg copies of them on the street for $5? I can’t see any difference and actually think it’s even worse.

While Google Video and YouTube have maintained there let’s say “ignorance” and tried to hide behind safe harbors, I must question this stance as I just uploaded a video to YouTube which contained copyright infringement news material from a broadcast of CBS 2 TV in New York regarding video of the latest brawl at Madison Square Garden over the weekend.

I did this as a test as I mentioned in the post and so at the end of the video I added a small 6 second title with my sites name saying “See More Videos at BryanHauer.com”. I then uploaded the video and about 15 minutes later it appeared on YouTube, but without the last 6 seconds. The last 6 seconds are still there, but have been deleted (edited) by YouTube. The video still says its 1:19 long, but as you will see the video stops playing after 1:13.

Mark Cuban has been recently writing one might say religiously about GooTube’s potential legal problems behind their stance and one can only think now they will see even more legal problems as they can no longer hide behind safe harbors.

Here are a few of the posts Mark has recently made about GooTube’s stance…
A quick note on DMCA Safe Harbors, Youtube and VIacom
You Go Viacom !
Subpoenas and Gootube
Why I “Have it in for ” Gootube
“You just don’t get it ” and Social Networking
Oscars.com vs Youtube.com and the value of hosting on Gootube
Google Video Search vs Gootube – which will win ?
Gootube Terrorizes Copyright Owners by Withholding Filters

As far as the video I uploaded to YouTube… I can’t see any other way around this except for that they blatantly edited out my ending while still allowing copyrighted material even from Viacom to be uploaded. Tell me where I’m going wrong here or if I’m missing something cause I’ve uploaded my own videos before without a problem of any editing, yet this one was.

Here are both videos for you to see…
